A dash cam is an on-board camera that continuously records the view through the vehicle's front windscreen. The recorded footage can be used as digital evidence in the event of a road accident, break-in or vandalism.

Alpine offers a high-end dash cam (DVR-F800PRO) which includes driving assistance functions, as well as a regular recording model (DVR-F200). Optional rear accessory cameras are available for both models. You can use the convenient companion app to make adjustments and view recordings on the go.

The best recording quality while driving
The DVR-F200 records in 1080p Full HD at 30 frames per second and features a CMOS image sensor for excellent recording quality even at night. This allows you to record important details, such as a vehicle's license plate, to have solid evidence of events to present in court. GPS geo-information and driving speed are also recorded.

Traffic accident recording
Once you switch on your vehicle, the dash cam will automatically start recording. Recorded videos are saved in one-minute segments with an automatic looping mechanism. In the event of an accident, the Active Impact Monitoring System will automatically store video data ten seconds before and after a collision registered by the 3-axis G-Sensor. The DVR-F200 comes with a 16GB micro SD card.

Vehicle surveillance system day and night
The DVR-F200 includes parking mode which keeps your car under surveillance even at night. If any impact is noted by another car, bicycle, etc., the camera will store these video images and you can review them later to identify and prove what happened. The camera will notify you in the morning of any incidents recorded overnight.

Integrated GPS
Using the DVR-F200's GPS data, you can accurately identify the vehicle's location and routes with its speed on the map. GPS helps you accurately assess the state of an accident by providing you with the vehicle's speed, the direction of the collision, and the severity of the impact. The GPS location can be viewed on the digital map in the Dash Cam Viewer.

Dash Cam Viewer for PC and MAC
The intuitive and easy-to-use interface of the Alpine Dash Cam Viewer for PC and MAC allows you to easily view your recorded videos. Play and download recorded videos along with the route history and speed recording, and see if any video was flagged by the camera with an impact recorded by another car (parking mode). Smartphone App
Download the 'Thinkware Dash Cam Mobile Viewer' app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to view, transfer or delete recordings. You can also view live through your dash cam (very convenient when installing and setting up your camera) on your Smartphone. Your mobile phone connects to the Dash Cam using Wi-Fi technology.

Recommended accessories
Alpine offers a rear accessory camera (RVC-R200) that simultaneously records traffic through your rear window. This gives you an extra layer of security while driving, as well as a parking surveillance mode. There is also an Infrared surveillance camera available (RVC-I200IR). If you need more data storage, get the 64GB micro SD card (DVM-64SD).

Night vision cabin camera
The RVC-I200IR was developed to record what is happening inside your car - even in night conditions. This is especially useful for taxi or transport drivers to have digital evidence of what happened during a journey. The camera works in the IR spectrum and has 2 infrared LED lights to make recordings even in total darkness.

Works with trucks and buses
This camera is compatible with 12 Volt and 24 Volt systems and can therefore be installed in trucks and buses without any use of voltage transformers.
