MAIN FEATURES
The OBD2 FIREWALL is the result of long-term experience in car alarm systems and Can technologies. PASER merges these skills and presents a new effective tool against the most advanced theft strategies.
The OBD2 FIREWALL creates a security barrier between external devices and the data bus that protects vehicle functions from unauthorized access and manipulation. Using key duplicators and an OBD II connector, a car thief can easily generate new access codes, eliminating the existing alarm system in a few steps. The OBD2 FIREWALL protects the car by preventing this from happening!
The OBD2 FIREWALL connects via Plug & Play wiring to the OBD II wiring, replicating its connector, so functional operations remain unchanged: diagnostics via the socket will always be possible in normal situations and prohibited in anti-theft mode.
The OBD2 FIREWALL can operate in a standalone configuration via a remote control. When a car alarm system is installed, the OBD2 FIREWALL can be connected to it and automatically activate data protection mode when the alarm is armed.
The OBD2 FIREWALL automatically switches to low-power mode when there is no data exchange on the Can bus. As soon as any activity is detected on the bus, the OBD2 FIREWALL immediately restores the communication channel. No data exchange is allowed in any way through the OBD connector when the system is in protection mode.
HOW IT WORKS
The most advanced car theft strategies involve accessing the vehicle's data system through the OBD connector. The OBD2 FIREWALL interposes an electronic barrier that prevents unauthorized connection through the protected port. The OBD2 FIREWALL is able to function as a standalone device, operated by a remote control or a hidden switch; When an alarm system is already installed in the vehicle, it is possible to connect it to the OBD2 FIREWALL to activate car protection in a single movement.
