STP HeatShield acts as sound insulation and as a cover (designed for the long-term preservation of engine heat and reduction of engine noise) for your car's hood. STP HeatShield can be used in any season.

In winter (at temperatures below 0°C), STP HeatShield is installed in the lower space of the hood, covering the engine. In summer (at temperatures above 0°C), it is installed on the hood, on the engine side, using the included fasteners.

STP HeatShield also helps preserve the hood by reducing the temperature generated by engine heat on the hood's metal sheet, preventing water stains and paint degradation.
